An advanced degree in nursing is required for a career in nursing education.
According to the New Jersey Board of Nursing Regulations:
“To teach in the State of New Jersey, all faculty (full time and part time) must be licensed as a registered nurse in the State. Additionally, all faculty who teach students at the baccalaureate, associate and diploma level must have graduated from a master’s degree program with a major in nursing.” (NJ Board of Nursing Regulations 13:37·1.7)
