  1. What is the goal of the Faculty Preparation Program?

    The goal of the Faculty Preparation Program is to increase the number of New Jersey nursing faculty, increase the capacity of master's-level and doctoral nursing programs to boost enrollment, and thus, increase the number of nurses in the workforce who are available to care for New Jersey residents.

  2. What is the NJNI Collaborative Learning Community?

    It is a collaborative consisting of all grantee institutions and scholars of this program and is designed to promote the continual exchange of ideas and innovative practices, enhance scholar and school networks and encourage a deeper commitment to the nurse faculty role. Participation includes required peer learning meetings each month, periodic web-based discussion groups and teleconferences.  More details to come this fall.

  3. How many grants will be awarded?

    Three New Jersey nursing masters and two doctoral programs and/or collaboratives will be supported.
