Ruben Fernandez currently serves as the Vice President for Patient Care Services at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ. Fernandez has over 25 years experience in senior leadership, having served as Vice President of Patient Care Services at North General Hospital in Harlem, Associate Dean for Administration at the College of Nursing at Rutgers, Newark and Vice President for Patient Care Services at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Fernandez is recognized for his contributions to nursing by various organizations. Fernandez is the recipient of the Margaret C. Haley Award, Seton Hall University; The Agnes and Rosemary Ludden Award for Innovative Nursing Practice, New York University; Honor Roll for Men in Nursing, National Nursing Museum, University of Texas School of Nursing; The Don Award, New Jersey Institute for Nursing; Seton Hall Roll of Honor and the 2008 Roll of Honor recipient of the New Jersey State Nurses Association, among many. Fernandez received his BSN from Seton Hall University, a Masters in Nursing Administration from New York University, and is a PhD candidate at Seton Hall University.
